Sweet like chocolate


We’d like to do a little throwback to 2014, when we’d secured one of our first ever projects. Sally and Ed Hawks approached us with their artisan chocolate shop named ‘White Rabbit Chocolatier’. Sally, was the mastermind behind the chocolatey goodness and she wanted to reinvent the brand to prepare the business for future success, and so it could grow with them.

We leapt at the chance to work on this project as we could see how fun and creative it could be...and who doesn’t love chocolate?! Incorporating Sally’s key inspiration behind the brand (the rabbit stone carving at St. Mary’s Church, Beverley), we decided to add a fresh, modern twist to the logo by using a more contemporary font, with geometric ‘bunny ears’ to bring the whole ethos to life!

Our mission was to create a new brand identity that would stand the test of time. With the use of a clean and elegant sans-serif typeface paired with the modern ‘bunny ear’ icon, we found the perfect match.

Once we nailed the logo, we looked into how this could be rolled out across the chocolatiers and how it would work on deliverables such as POS stands, packaging and in-store graphics. During the process, a signature pattern was born, by taking the ‘bunny ears’ from the logo and turning this into a repeat pattern. Four years on, you’ll see this pattern being used as a funky wallpaper in-store and across print advertisements and digital advertising!

In 2016, White Rabbit took a huge leap (or hop 😉) and expanded their chocolate shop into a chocolate wonderland, by opening a chocolate café in Beverley. This gave us the opportunity to continue our partnership and work with Sally and Ed on the creation of menus, gift cards, internal and external shop signage, packaging and even a loyalty scheme for the cafe, where stamps could be collected to gain chocolatey treats!

Throughout the years, we have LOVED working on a variety of creative projects and as part of White Rabbits extended family, we’re super proud when they make great achievements in their industry, as we know how hard the full team work. Since we began our partnership, White Rabbit has achieved an incredible 9 Great Taste Awards, a Great Taste Top 50 Foods Award and a Bronze award from the Academy of Chocolate for the best dark chocolate in 2015… I mean, how amazing is that!

Expanding on their achievements, White Rabbit has recently started another venture by opening their second store in Paragon Arcade, Hull. Here, you’ll discover a unique selection of delicious treats in an authentic, traditional chocolaterie… and there’s plenty more in the pipeline, so watch this space!

Nearly five years on and we’re still in chocolate heaven! With the full Too team as White Rabbit ambassadors (especially for the INCREDIBLE strawberry chocolate drops 🤤😍), we’d like to thank White Rabbit for their ongoing support with working alongside or agency, StrawberryToo from day one.
